Vietnam Airlines to offer over 7.5 million seats during peak season

National flag carrier Vietnam Airlines are to increase their seats to over 7.5 million on its domestic and international air routes between June 1 and August 31 in order to meet the passengers’ travel demand of during the peak summer season in 2019.

 

During the three-month peak season, the airline will add an additional 600,000 seats to routes across its flight network in comparison to the same period last year, bringing the total number of seats to over 7.5 million.

As a result, Vietnam Airlines will offer over 4.8 million seats on its domestic routes, an increase of 422,000 seats. These additions mainly come on popular routes such as flights from Hanoi and HCM City to tourist destinations such as Da Nang, Da Lat, Nha Trang, Phu Quoc, and Tuy Hoa.

The airline will also add an extra 170,000 seats on international routes, bringing the total number of seats to 2.7 million during the reviewed period, with most additional seats being added to routes from Vietnam to Thailand, Japan, and the Republic of Korea.

Aside from putting on more flights, the airline has undergone preparations to increase their human resources and facilities in a bid to ensure absolute safety and a high standard of service for passengers during the summer season.

In addition, the carrier has also organised a number of promotional programs for passengers such as offering super saving tickets to destinations throughout Southeast Asian and providing free tickets to high-achieving students.

The national flag carrier also recommends that passengers plan their trips and utilise the online check-in service through the mobile application or at the self-check in kiosk at airports without waiting in queues prior to their departure time.

Passengers are advised to purchase their tickets directly from the website www.vietnamairlines.com, through the airline’s mobile application, or at ticket agents that provide invoices to avoid buying counterfeit or rip-off tickets.
