Hanoi starts building F1 race circuit with unique design

The Hanoitimes - Designed by Formula 1 Group and Tilke Company (Germany), the Hanoi F1 race will ensure the most stringent technical criteria and rigorous safety of equipment and materials in accordance with the Federation Internationale de l`Automobile (FIA)’s standards.
The Hanoi F1 circuit and functional areas cover a total area of 88 ha, including part of My Dinh Sports Complex and some of the existing public roads.

Designed by Formula 1 Group and Tilke Company (Germany), the Hanoi F1 race will ensure the most stringent technical criteria and rigorous safety of equipment and materials in accordance with the Federation Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA)’s standards.
The groundbreaking ceremony the Hanoi F1 circuit is the official start for the world's most prestigious car racing in Vietnam, contributing to promoting Hanoi and Vietnam’s image to the world, creating a premise to attract investment, technology, as well as important and influential international events to Vietnam.
It is expected that the Hanoi F1 circuit will be completed in March 2020.

For his part, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen Duc Chung said the groundbreaking ceremony is a milestone towards organizing the Hanoi F1 race in April 2020.
Chung stressed that this is an opportunity for Vietnam to train young racers and raise all people’s awareness of traffic safety to reduce road accidents in the city as well as around the country.
