In addition, a music program will take place on November 24 featuring melodies of northern folk music as well as ancient tunes of Nha Nhac (Hue royal court music), which was honored with a place on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
On this occasion, a collection of Hue traditional costumes by Doctor Thai Kim Lan and a set of instrumentals of Hue royal court music will also be introduced to the public.
The event aims to strengthen cooperation and exchange between Hanoi and other Vietnamese cities on the experience of preserving national and UNESCO-recognized cultural heritages. In addition, it aims to protecting the value of heritage and promoting Hanoi's Old Quarter.
In 2017, the ceremony in celebration of the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day entitled “Origin” took place on November 17 at the Old Quarter Cultural Exchange Center. The event included a fashion show of traditional long tunic by Dinh Lang Viet Group and other show featuring long dress for women by designer Lan Anh. There was also a display of the traditional costumes of Russia, India, and Indonesia.
